Chin Hock began his campaign to promote the Asian value, Filial Piety through Holdinghands.sg in 2009. His story and campaign have touched the hearts of many and his articles have been featured in numerous media and publications such as Men’s Health Singapore, The Straits Times, The Sunday Times, Lianhe Zaobao, Lianhe Wanbao, Beanstalk, Vibes, theAsianparent etc.
Today, he is known as an advocate of strong families and the Asian value "Filial Piety".
A devoted family man, Chin Hock enjoys sharing his experiences and reflections hoping to inspire those around him to live a meaningful life and at the same time remember to treasure their loved ones as they pursue their aspirations. For the dedication to his family and contribution to the community, he was conferred the Filial Piety Award by the
Nanyang Confucius Association in 2013.
Committed to giving, he donates blood regularly and contribute to causes relating to elderly & needy children. He was being featured in Channel 8’s Hello Singapore TV programme in to share his experiences as a regular blood donor. He also wrote an article “Just One Hour Of Our Time Can Save Lives" that was published in the Straits Times and The NewPaper.
With a strong belief that everyone can take WOW pictures (based on personal experiences), he went on to teach photography to the community for 6 months on a Pro Bono basis. His photography works have been featured in the Ngee Ann Photographic Exhibition, one of the largest photography exhibitions in Singapore, in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
The daddy of 3 aspires to complete one Ironman race and speak at a Ted Talk event on topics that he is passionate about.
