A 47% Increase in What We Give: Why This Means More Than Numbers

A 47% Increase in What We Give: Why This Means More Than Numbers

As we close the year, I wanted to pause and reflect on something that means a lot to me.

This year, Holdinghands Studio increased our giving by 47% compared to the previous year.

On paper, it may look like a percentage.

But to me, it means so much more.

It means more lives touched.
More stories amplified.
More hope extended to communities that often go unseen.

Every dollar given is a reminder of why Holdinghands Studio was started in the first place back in 2021.

This was never just about photography.

It was about using art as a force for good.

It was about proving that something as simple as an image, a story, or a book can create real and lasting impact.

From the beginning, I made a promise to myself: that this journey would not be driven by profit alone, but by purpose.

That promise continues today.

As part of our mission, 20% of all proceeds continue to go directly to supporting causes close to our hearts, including organisations such as FAST (Foreign Domestic Worker Association for Social Support and Training) and HOME (Humanitarian Organization for Migration Economics), both of which do incredible work in supporting migrant communities in Singapore.

This 47% increase in giving is not just a financial milestone.

It is a reflection of something bigger.

It reflects the trust and support from every participant who joined our workshops, every person who purchased a photo frame, every organisation that collaborated with us, and every believer who stood behind our mission.

In many ways, this increase belongs to all of you.

You made this possible.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you all!

Cheque presented to Sis Sisi, Director of HOME Academy by Holdinghands Studio members

Update as at 4 May 26

With the cessation of FAST, we will continue to honour our commitment to give back.

Moving forward, Holdinghands Studio will channel:

  • 10% of our annual revenue to HOME (Humanitarian Organization for Migration Economics)
  • 10% to Autism Association Singapore

Why Autism Association Singapore

I walk past Autism Association Singapore almost every other day on my way to work.

For the longest time, I felt something each time I passed by.

That I shouldn’t just walk past.
That I should find a way to contribute.

This year, we took that step.

We recently presented a $1,500 cheque to Ms Diyanah, Autism Association Singapore, a small contribution but one that carries deep meaning for me personally.
